在前面的两篇中，说到了什么是安全完整性和安全完整性等级的概念。
那么SIL等级代表什么含义呢？在今天这篇文章中，我们一起来学习。

SILn（n表示1、2、3、4），其中SIL4具有最高级别的安全完整性，SIL1具有最低级别的安全完整性。

在IEC61508-1中有两个表格分别给出了4个安全完整性等级故障概率：

通过低要求模式下的失效概率和在高要求运行或连续运行模式下运行的安全功能的故障概率这两张图，问题来了，PFDavg和PFH是什么意思呢？

PFDavg：averageprobability of dangerous failure on demand

平均故障概率：这是系统发生危险故障的概率，在需要时不能执行其安全功能。可以将PFD确定为一段时间内的平均概率或最大概率。 IEC61508/61511和ISA84.01使用PFDavg作为定义SIL的系统度量。

PHF：average frequency of a dangerous failure per hour

危险故障的平均频率[h]。PFH通常表示为w（t），不要将其与故障率混淆。

关于SIL3和SIL4的等级。
在我国标准GB50770-2013的5.0.5和条文解释中的4.1.2和5.0.5中，都给出了不能超过SIL3。

另外，在ISA84.01-2004中：
9.3.1 No safety instrumented function with a safety integrity level higher than that associated with SIL4 shall be allocated to a safety instrumented system. Applications which require the use of a single safety instrumented function of safety integrity level 4 are rare in the process industry. Such applications shall be avoided where reasonably practicable because of the difficulty of achieving and maintaining such high levels of performance throughout the safety life cycle. Where such systems are specified they will require high levels of competence from all those involved throughout the safety life cycle.
If the analysis results in a safety integrity level of 4 being assigned to a safety instrumented function, consideration shall be given to changing the process design in such a way that it becomes more inherently safe or adding additional layers of protection. These enhancements could perhaps then reduce safety integrity level requirements for the safety instrumented function.在ISA84.01-1996中：
